Evacuation Plan

1. Protective Action Zone for our home.


2. School Evacuation Center.


3. Collection Point for transportation assistance.

8. Important things to take with us:


Money/credit cards.

Warm/cool clothes for at least three days.

Medicines, glasses, prescriptions, first aid supplies.

Important papers (insurance, identification, bank books).

Extra set of car and home keys.

Battery radio, flashlight and extra batteries for each

Pets and pet needs (NOTE: Pets will not be allowed at Reception Centers/Congregate Care Centers).

Blankets or a sleeping bag for each person.

Jug or large bottle of drinking water.

Special foods.

Special items for infants, elderly or disabled members.

Personal needs (washing, shaving, eye and dental care, sanitary, family photo albums).

This emergency information and/or the phone book insert.

Potassium Iodide (KI) if appropriate.

Other (list items as needed).


 

9. Before leaving home:


Close windows, lock doors, turn off air conditioning/heating.

Shut off systems that bring in outside air. These include furnaces, fireplaces, air conditioners, vents, and clothes dryers.

Turn off appliances (except refrigerators and freezers).
